Our Hearing Testing & Evaluation Process
Your audiologist will first perform and basic hearing screening and gather some information about your medical history by asking you several questions regarding your ears and hearing loss. After your hearing history, our audiologist will physically inspect your ears for ear wax (also known as cerumen) and for any foreign objects that might be blocking your ear canals. Anything partially or completely blocking your ear canals can negatively affect your hearing ability and may alter your hearing test results.
The audiologist will also examine your ear canals and eardrums for problems including holes in your eardrum, signs of infection in your ear canal or middle ear, and any other abnormalities in your ear. If necessary, we will refer you to a medical doctor, most likely your primary care or an ear specialist, for treatment. Remember, audiologists assess hearing; they do not treat ears medically.
Which hearing tests we administer will depend on your specific situation. Your hearing assessment results will be recorded on a graph called an Audiogram. If any part of the audiological evaluation indicates that medical treatment is necessary, the audiologist will refer you to a physician.
Now you know what to expect when you have a complete audiological evaluation at Hearing Solutions. If you or a someone you know suffer from hearing loss problems, contact us today to make an appointment to get a comprehensive hearing assessment.
"Have you ever felt like the world was passing you by? That was how I felt. Unable to hear is so demeaning. After hearing about Dr. Griffin from a neighbor of mine, I made an appointment. Dr. Griffin, Cindy and their staff gave me a brand new life. Hearing is great! It opened up new avenues. Thank you again for a new life."

"I’ve known Dr. Griffin since she was a little girl. Her father and I were co-workers at the USPS. My mother was having some problems with dizziness and roaring in her ears.
She administered a very extensive, painless non-invasive test in diagnosing and getting to the bottom of the reason for the dizziness by “process of elimination”.
If you or a loved one needs help with a hearing problem, I highly recommend Dr Debbie Griffin. On a scale of 1-20, she will easily tip the scale at 25. Dr. Griffin has so much compassion for her patients. When you visit her office you are made to feel like family. My mother is one of Dr. Griffins patients and she said she actually has fun when she has to go in . Debbie has a way with people like no doctor I have ever seen. She is someone you can trust with no reservations. Your comfort level is at a point where you don’t feel like you’re at a doctor’s office but at a friend’s home. Of course she can’t help it. That is just her sweet, humorous nature. She is very knowledgeable in her field. Thank God for Dr. Debra Griffin. “Kudos” to her entire staff."

"Hearing Solutions and Dr. Griffin have been a GOD send to me. They certainly had a challenge on their hands with my past ear history and surgery. I am so thrilled with my new hearing aid that I purchased from this office. Dr.Griffin and her staff are so knowledgeable about digital technology. My other hearing aid was analog from 1986. Since then no one had been able to get the fit correct. So, I am thrilled with my new digital… man was I living in the dark ages. Dr. Griffin made a custom ear piece that houses the receiver and boy does it fit like a glove. So KUDOS to Hearing Solutions staff and Dr. Griffin. With a team like this you can’t go wrong."

“The loving words of my granddaughters disappeared”. ”Their thoughts go away from me”. So I was sad. Dr. Debbie found a way for me to capture their precious words and be a better granddaddy. I did not want to miss out understanding the thrilling words and ideas from these girls. Two times I bought hearing aids which no longer did the trick for me. My hearing had gone downhill. Dr. Debbie mostly solved the communication problem with my wife, daughter, and my friends. I just couldn’t understand what they were saying. I know people who miss out on valuable parts of their lives because they just cannot get all the sounds they are meant to. Dr. Debbie helps solve that poor quality of life. NOW I CAN HEAR. That is money well spent."

"Dr. Debra Griffin and Cindy Thomas are the BEST! I have been seeing them for over 10 years now and cannot say enough good things about them because they are all true. First of all, they are HONEST. They will NOT sell you something you don't need. I need hearing aids and swore that my 90 year old mother needed them too. Mom had gone in for one of those "free" hearing exams at Audibel and they recommended hearing aids. I brought her to Dr. Griffin and after an extensive exam it was discovered my mom's hearing impairment was more about listening than hearing! She did NOT need hearing aids!
I am currently on my second pair of hearing aids from Hearing Solutions, Inc. They clean my aids regularly, provide me with batteries, wax guards and domes AT NO CHARGE! You are not a patient "
